Which side do you chew on?
During yesterday’s lesson,
one of my clients shared a wonderful observation:
“I’ve noticed that my bite has changed — I can now chew using both sides of my mouth.”
It has been eight months since she started SBM.
In the beginning, she often forgot or misplaced her mouthpiece,
but now she’s developed the habit of lightly biting it not only during SBM sessions,
but also throughout the day — except when eating or sleeping.
Many people tend to chew on one side of the mouth without realising it.
Do you ever feel your jaw joints clicking or grinding?
By continuing SBM,
issues such as temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain can improve,
you can begin to chew evenly on both sides,
and the balance of your facial structure naturally aligns.
At your next meal, try to notice:
Which side do you chew on?
Small moments of awareness like this can lead to big changes in your body.

The Importance of Self-Care
In our busy everyday lives, it’s easy to forget to listen to our bodies.
Yet pain and discomfort are not enemies — they are gentle reminders from within, asking for care and attention.
Taking time to look after yourself is not a luxury — it’s essential.
When you pause and bring your body back into balance, your mind naturally follows.
Self-care is an act of kindness towards yourself.
It’s not about relying on someone else to fix you,
but about nurturing a body that can heal and restore itself from within.

What is National Self-Care Week?
National Self-Care Week is an annual awareness campaign that aims to embed the importance of self-care across communities, families, and generations.
This year’s theme is “Mind & Body.”
The Self-Care Forum will promote the wider continuum of self-care, with a particular focus on physical activity and how movement supports both mental and physical well-being.
Since 2011, the Self-Care Forum has been leading this initiative to help people take better care of themselves and live healthier, happier lives.
