Herniated Disc - L5/S1 Please consult before choosing surgery
Please consult before choosing surgery
Today I spoke with someone who is suffering from long-term complications after surgery for a herniated disc. Unfortunately, I had to explain that they are not able to do SBM.
When I asked what kind of surgery they had, they explained:
“I had a cervical artificial disc replacement, and there is titanium in my neck. Since the surgery, my posture has changed, and I have constant stabbing pain in my back.”
It was truly heartbreaking to hear.
Unfortunately, when titanium or other hardware is placed in the spine, SBM cannot be performed.
This is why I strongly encourage you to reach out before choosing surgery.
