Can’t Fix It at the Gym? Try SBM – Real Body Balance Starts Here
[SBM Trial Course – First Lesson Report]
We had the pleasure of welcoming a new participant today for the first session of our SBM 1-Month Trial Course (3 sessions total). She joined us through a referral from one of our clients at the London branch.
It was her very first experience with SBM, but her body responded beautifully. She moved smoothly through both the lower back and neck sequences, and her form—especially the way she held the SBM pillow—was precise and graceful.
She regularly receives personal training three times a week and has built up strength and strong body awareness, which helped her adapt quickly to SBM’s unique movements.
During the session, she asked a great question:
“How can I fix the height difference between the left and right sides of my pelvis?”
Apparently, someone had previously pointed out to her that her body might be out of alignment—particularly her pelvis.
The good news is: SBM is designed to restore balance.
With the correct approach and continued practice, SBM helps to align the pelvis, rebalance the surrounding muscles, and even eliminate leg length discrepancies. One of SBM’s strengths lies in helping the body naturally restore healthy spinal curves (the S-shape), which plays a key role in long-term alignment and nerve health.
In this session, I also introduced the basics of how SBM works in relation to muscle balance, spinal curves, and the nervous system. I believe she now has a clearer understanding of how SBM differs from standard gym training—which often focuses on isolated muscles, whereas SBM works on the whole structural and neurological system.
Client’s feedback after the session:
“Mika-san,
Thank you so much for today.
I was surprised by some of the movements—they were quite different from what I expected—but because they were so simple, I feel confident that I can continue.
Thank you also for the advice on the enzyme paste—I’ll be sure to take it on an empty stomach.Looking forward to the next session!”
Many people turn to the gym to improve their bodies—but certain issues like pelvic imbalance, misalignment, and nerve-related discomfort often can’t be resolved through conventional training. That’s where SBM comes in.
If you’re looking to correct your posture, improve your spinal alignment, and bring your body back into balance—all through your own natural movements—SBM may be exactly what you’ve been searching for.
Next session coming soon—stay tuned!
