Herniated Disc - Is there a way to heal without surgery?

Is there a way to heal without surgery?

Chronic back pain, numbness in your legs, the fear of not being able to walk again.

Have you been told that surgery is your only option?

This blog shares the real recovery story of a client who began SBM (Self Body Make) just two months ago.

If you are struggling with a herniated disc, this may offer you a new path to healing.

The beginning: A fall at work and years of pain

Five years ago, she slipped at work and landed hard on her tailbone.

As a result, the disc between her L5 and S1 vertebrae became severely compressed.

She experienced numbness in her right leg and constant lower back pain.

Rehabilitation provided some relief, but she endured the pain for years.

Then in February 2025, she was struck by extreme pain once again—this time, she couldn’t even get out of bed.

Walking became almost impossible. She had to receive a spinal nerve block injection.

That’s when she was referred to us and decided to try SBM.

 What is SBM?

A method of building the right muscles without straining your spine.

We first asked her to stop all other forms of exercise.

For herniated disc patients, improper or general exercise often worsens the condition.

SBM is a gentle yet targeted self-care method.

It begins in a lying-down position—the safest and least stressful posture for the spine—

and helps activate the deep core and stabilizing muscles in a precise, safe manner.

After just two months, she began to feel genuine relief and a sense of control returning to her body.

Not sure if SBM is right for you?

If you’re unsure whether SBM fits your condition, we also offer free 1-on-1 online consultations.

Let’s talk and assess your situation together.

We hope this story gives hope to anyone suffering from disc-related pain or numbness.

Take the first step toward healing—not through force, but through understanding and working *with* your body.

Let 2025 be the year you reclaim your body on your own terms.
