How SBM Helped Me Avoid Surgery for an L5/S1 Herniated Disc

Hi Mika, I am still practising since we met on Zoom in April.

Thank you so much for your time. I find it really helpful and I feel it reduces tension in my body. Before I do the exercises I often think about maybe taking an anti-inflammatory and when I finish, I usually feel better and decide not to! I’m very positive about doing it and am improving over time.

I have been suffering with a herniated L5S1 disc since being of July last year which got so bad that I struggled to walk and sleep with the pain. I have had two injections and lots of resting/ gentle movement which have helped improve my condition. This exercise really does provide some relief and loosening of the tension in my body as I have also been suffering with muscle guarding. I’m now starting back at work and hoping I can keep my condition at this point where I now take very little medication and avoid an operation.

Thanks again for your time sharing and explaining why this technique helps… my chiropractor agrees too. E
